PTA NEWS
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Sunset Valley PTA needs you!!!
We are looking for volunteers to be a part of the Sunset Valley PTA Board! We understand how busy everyone is and would appreciate your help and your time. We promise that you will not be asked to take on more than you can handle. Being a part of the SVE PTA Board is a great way to get to know the school staff and learn how the school operates and it is a lot of fun!
PTA is an important component of our school community. We work to encourage student achievement by sponsoring enrichment programs and social events, along with supporting our classrooms, as well as providing an opportunity for involvement and enhancing communication between parents and school staff. We believe that building a bridge between our families and our school is key to our children’s academic successes.
More than 30 years of research shows that children do better when their parents and families are involved both at home and at school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. You can make these outcomes a reality for your child, our school and our community by being involved with our PTA.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with your ideas or to let me know you would like to volunteer.
Sincerely,
Whitney Thomas SVE PTA President

A few notes on protocols and health guidelines for LSR7
* Staff and students wear masks at all times unless we are taking a mask break while socially distanced.
* Students will hand wash and/or sanitize hands each time they leave and enter a new space. Ex: from classroom to art, from PE to recess, from classroom to lunch, etc. . .
* Classroom desks/tables will be sanitized each time students eat breakfast.
* Students will maintain consistent seating charts in classrooms, at lunch, in special class and students will have assigned line orders. These practices will help us should we need to contact trace.
* The schedule has been build with extra time in between recesses and special class so equipment and materials can be cleaned.
