Benignus Arrival/Dismissal Step by Step Procedures
Arrival Procedures
All parents must remain in car at all times
PK,K-2 Car Rider
Enter through the gym parking lot.
PK and Kinder Car Riders will enter the lane closest to the school and stop at the cone labeled K and 1st Grade.
Second graders will enter in the left lane by staff parking and drive up to the gym and stop at the stop sign labeled 2nd grade.
In order to limit contact due to Covid, staff members will not open car doors.
Your child will exit the car and walk along the white line to their entrance point, where they will sanitize their hands prior to building entry.
Staff members will be stationed along the way to help keep your child safe.
3rd, 4th and 5th Car Rider
Enter through the visitor parking lot by the cafe, closest to 2920..
There will be 2 lanes to pull up and let your child out of the car.
Your child will walk along the red line to safely cross the parking lot.
Your child will enter the building through the front doors and sanitize prior to building entry.
Dismissal Procedures
All parents must remain in their cars at all times
PK, K, 1st
Enter through the gym parking lot.
PK, Kinder and 1st car riders pull up to the cone that has PreK, K, 1st (lane closest to the building)
A staff member will call your child’s name over zoom. Your child will walk out of the mod and stand behind a colored cone. Once there are 10 children, a staff member will lead the children to your car.
Once all children are loaded a staff member will direct cars to move up to the cone and stop for the next round to be called.
2nd Grade
Enter through the gym parking lot in the outer lane
2nd Grade car riders will pull up to the cone labeled 2nd grade in front of the gym
A staff member will call your child’s name over zoom. Your child will walk out of the mod and through the gym to the colored cone. A staff member will then lead the children down the white line to their car.
Once all children are loaded a staff member will direct cars to move up to the cone and stop for the next round to be called.
3rd, 4th, 5th
Enter through Parking lot #1 by the cafe
All parents and guardians will stop at one of the five colored cones
A staff member will call your child’s name over zoom. Your child will walk out of the front doors and to the colored cone. A staff member will then lead the children to their cars.
Once all children are loaded a staff member will direct cars to move up to the cone and stop for the next round to be called.
Siblings
All 3-5 graders that have siblings in grades Pre-K-2 will be grouped together in the K-2 car rider line.
Depending on the grade level follow the above dismissal procedures.
Example: A third grader has a first grade sibling, that third grader will go to their first grade siblings class and be dismissed from the first grade mod. The parent or guardian will follow the K-1st car rider dismissal procedures.
Example: A 2nd grader has a kindergarten sibling and they are car riders. The parent or guardian will use the K-1st car rider lane.

Tardy bell: 8:00
Doors open for school entry at 7:45.
Breakfast is 7:45-8:05 (Students will grab breakfast and eat in the classroom.)
Beginning of the year information
For the first three days of school, Pre-K and Kinder parents only may park in parking lot number 2 and bring their child to the Kinder gate.
If you have a child that switched from KOL to KOC and received a district device please have your child return it the first day of school.
This year we are using the back of the school for part of our arrival/dismissal procedures. Therefor, the blacktop is no longer available for students to wait, so please plan accordingly.
