The Protestant Reformation

Jans Hus
Jans Hus was a priest who was the first to speak out against the Roman Catholic Church. He believed that you didn't have to pay indulgences to get into Heaven. He caused his followers (Hussites) to rebel against their Roman Catholic Leaders. He was burned at the stake for his beliefs. If he hadn't spoke out against the church our religion might not have been the same today.
Martin Luther
Martin Luther taught salvation and said that Heaven is not earned by good deeds because the Roman Catholic Church said that you had to pay indulgences to into Heaven. He challenged the Pope and the church with his theology. He nailed the 95 Theses to the door of the church. His followers were called Lutherans. Without Martin Luther, his religion wouldn't be the same today.
