Highland Happenings
For the Week of April 5, 2021
From the Administration
Dear Highland Families,
Thanks to all who were able to attend the Family Town Halls we had on Thursday evening. We had two very well-attended sessions. We hope you found them to be beneficial and we look forward to hosting more of them in the future. All of the information covered will be posted on the Highland website very soon, including a list of Frequently Asked Questions. In the meanwhile, we will share links and information directly from the BSD website and communications which have come out today and earlier this week.
Secondary students in the hybrid learning model will be returning to school next week! Students in House A will be on campus Thursday, April 8 and students in House B will be on campus, Friday, April 9. We are looking at these days as orientation, so students are able to get to know their NEW campus and find their classes. More more about the Hybrid Secondary School Schedule 2020-2021.
We look forward to seeing so many of our students next week and are excited for the 4th quarter!
With respect & gratitude,
Susan Thomas, Principal
Brenda Arroyo, Assistant Principal

8th Grade Families - We Need You!
Highland PTSA is looking for volunteers to help plan the 8th grade promotion party. This is an event sponsored by the PTSA and held outside of school hours towards the end of the school year (separate from the promotion ceremony held during school hours). The party planning committee will figure out when, where, and most importantly how the event will be held this year. The committee will work within the current COVID-19 guidelines as our first priority is to hold a safe celebration for everyone!
If you are interested in being on the planning committee, please email hms-ptsa@live.com
Thank you!
