Principal's Message
Tulalip Families and Supporting Community,
We are one week closer to the end of the school year. With exhibitions on June 5-8th and Graduation on June 14th, we don't have any time to waste.
I am so encouraged by the growth and improvement our students are demonstrating and the experiences they are gaining each and every day. We are continually celebrating the good things our students are doing, highlighting their accomplishments, because they are worth it.
We are right around the 50% mark for students at Tulalip Heritage who are participating and actively pursuing internships. This is a positive sign that our students are starting to understand the concept of interest-based learning, and are taking full advantage of the opportunities that are presented. I often say in Morning Circle, walk through the doors that are open and take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. The amount of students who are taking ownership of their own learning is beyond encouraging and provides hope for our entire staff. We took a great group of students out to Reiner Farm to learn how upstream efforts are impacting Salmon populations in Tulalip. Our partnership with Farmer Frog is growing stronger as we work to build a community garden here on site.
We ask for your partnership by encouraging your students to attend their scheduled workshops and advisory classes as well as being prompt in their internships. This is a lifelong skill and also helps us to maintain a safe environment for learning. Simply put, we need students to be where they are supposed to be at the time they are supposed to be there.
Lastly, we are welcoming back Andrea
