Be the change you with to see in the world!
Welcome to fourth grade! We hope you’re ready to to have a year full of learning adventures! We are a collaborative “teaching team” that is 100% invested in equipping your child with the tools to set high expectations, be confident in his/her abilities and to make learning FUN! We pride ourselves on getting to know your child as a learner, but more importantly as a unique individual. By getting to know about your child's social/emotional and academic needs, we will be able to plan instruction that meets your child's academic needs. We feel very fortunate to be able to work with you and your family this year! This year our theme is "Be the change you wish to see in the world." We will be challenging students to THINK BIG about how THEY are going to impact OUR future! Here’s a little bit about each of us!
Getting To Know Mrs. Kentop
I am a 36 year old graduate of UW-Oshkosh with a degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8 and a minor in Spanish. I am absolutely thrilled to be starting my 13th (did I really just say 12, wow) year as a teacher here at Forest Glen and cannot wait for the school year to begin. I believe its very important to create a sense of community in the classroom and make everyone feel accepted, safe and welcomed. Also, 7 years ago I began the journey to getting my masters in counseling through Concordia University.
In my free-time I enjoy doing a few things. I have an amazing sassy dog named Ellie. My husband Chris and I have an almost 7 year old little girl Eva who is first grade at Forest Glen this fall! Eva and I have had so much fun together this summer! I am sure your student will come home with stories that I tell of my family because I like my students to not only know me as a teacher, but on a personal level, so I tell them lots of stories about what is going on in my life.
