COVID-19 Settings Update
This afternoon the Government announced that New Zealand will move to Orange from 11:59pm tonight Wednesday 13 April.
The decision to move to Orange has been made based on public health advice and reflects that New Zealand is showing clear signs that Omicron has peaked. As case numbers come down and our health system is more able to cope, it is appropriate to move to fewer restrictions.
Although the change to Orange is taking place tonight, Kura will retain our current settings tomorrow, this means we will continue to follow the processes we have been following since returning to teaching onsite. This will allow us time to plan for the new changes at COVID Orange.
Please continue to:
Remain in your waka when dropping and collecting your tamariki to kura
Do not enter the school grounds unless you have organised an appointment with kaimahi for before 8am or after 4pm
Encourage tamariki from Rapanui to Tau 13 to wear masks
Encourage social distancing
We will inform whānau of new changes before returning to Kura for Term 2. We appreciate your support.
