Destroying the National Bank
Jackson went through three Secretary of Treasuries trying to get the money that was going to the National Bank, back to the states. Jackson asked his first secretary of Treasury to redirect the money back to the states, he refused to do so, so Jackson fired him. When Jackson hired his second Secretary of Treasury, the same result happened. When Jackson hired his third Secretary of Treasury, he agreed to do so. There was no need to do that when the U.S. already had a strong national bank.
