title and author
Shiloh By Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Phyllis is a good author. It was amazing how she made Marty preston find that sweet dog.
The genre is fiction because Judd comes closer and closer to finding Shiloh, but Marty has hidden in the woods. Then when Marty discovers that Judd is poaching, he blackmails him and makes a deal to work for Judd to pay for the dog, So you can't really blackmail at age 11.
The lesson of the story is if you get or find a pet never mistreat it love and take care of your pet. You would not like it if you were the pet and Judd was mean to you.
Marty Preston is the protagonist, and main character, of the novel. He is an 11-year-old boy who lives with his parents and two younger sisters.
Judd Travers is a mean looking man who lives alone in a trailer not far from marty Preston. He has a "big round face.
Marty Preston worked so hard to earn the dog Shilo. Judd will give him superman strength.
If Jesus ever comes back to earth again, Im thinking he'll come as a dog, because there isn't anything as humble or patient or loving or loyal as the dog I have in my arms right now.
The Maddens lived near Shiloh a town in West Virginia. The town is where the Maddens lived.
Marty loves his family and feels bad about lying to them about where he goes and what he is doing with the left over food from his dinner plate. Marty learns from experiences that you can lie not only by what your saying but what you don't say.
I really do not have a favorite part of the book. I liked everything I read about it. I just like that it does not matter what happens to Marty. Marty does not try to ever get back at Judd by being mean to him. He is still very confident and I love his cute dog Shiloh too.
