SLP Online 7/8 Families,
Spring is finally coming….hopefully! During these last couple months of the school year, we see students start to really accelerate in their learning. Concepts from the fall and winter start to make more sense and students feel much more comfortable with their learning. It’s always a very rewarding time to be in the classroom and watch this learning take off!
As spring continues to roll on, it is also the time of year for a variety of assessments. As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, our 7th and 8th grade online students will take the MCA Reading and Math assessment on April 21 at 8 a.m. Students will take the Reading test in the morning, then there will be a break for lunch and time to relax. Then, students take the Math test in the afternoon. If your student needs transportation to or from school, please contact Jacqui Smith or Rachel Resch at 763-600-5300. We will get them set up on one of our Middle School buses.
In addition, our 8th graders get to take the MCA Science and MAP assessment. MCA science, for 8th grade only, will take place on Thursday, May 5 at 8 a.m. and May 25 for the Reading and Math MAP assessment.
Report cards for the end of trimester 2 are posted in Campus Parent Portal. If you have questions or need help, please reach out to your child’s teacher(s) or our office. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out. Have a great first few days of April, hopefully the change in months will bring warmer weather!
