Newsletter Service Smore
Another possible way to communicate for your classroom
Interested in having a newsletter for your class?
Found out about this at my last technology coordinator's meeting and I have to say I like it so far. Smore is free for up to 1,000 contacts and you can only send out 200 emails a month. I tried, and using Google Groups will not trick out the system so you need to send it to a specific email group. So if you would like to utilize this for your class, it will likely need to be paid for and I would look into pricing for our district, individually, it is $59.00 annually.
Everything is done through your browser, no program to install, all you need to do is upload your images and enter in your content.
Have a go with it and see what you think. http://www.smore.com
Easy Templates to Choose for Quick Creation
There are template options for you to choose from or you can create a newsletter from scratch. The templates are fully customizable so you can add/delete items from the templates as you need them.
One downside is that you cannot have a plain or a custom background on the free version.
