Mantis shrimp live in the Indian and Pacific oceans. Between the regions of eastern Africa and North America's west coast.
Body Shape and Description
Shaped like a lobster. Long body, fan tail, small head, fist that can strike with a force of 1,500 newtons, and eyesight that is the greatest in the animal kingdom.
Feeding Habits
The Mantis Shrimp is a carnivore that eats small fish, squids, etc. They will eat anything that is no bigger than 4 times their size and breathes.
Life Cycle
The mantis shrimp life cycle is Egg,Nauplii,Protozoa,Mysis,Post Larva,Juvenile,Adult. Mantis shrimp have a lifespan of 15-20 years. The mantis shrimp takes 2 years to mature.
