Interact Club Update
The Interact Club is pleased to introduce you to Dayana, a 5-year old girl who lives in Peru. We have chosen to sponsor Dayana for one of our international projects this year. We are getting to know Dayana through an exchange of letters. So far we know that her favourite colour is pink, she loves to draw and play jacks, and she helps with errands at home. She is in the equivalent of kindergarten and has a brother. We enjoy the pictures she draws for us!
Our other international project is ongoing. We have been involved with the KIVA microloan program for nine years and to date have made 337 loans to people in 57 different countries. We have loaned $11,400! As the loans are repaid, we simply reloan it out to someone else who is looking for funds for small business or personal projects. It has been rewarding to realize that our small contributions are making a real difference for other people across the globe!
Don't forget your textbooks!
