MCAS RESULTS SENT HOME
This week, your child was sent home in with last spring's MCAS results. Please ask your child for this envelope.
A shortened version of the test was administered last spring in the following grades and areas:
- Grade 6: ELA/math
- Grade 7: ELA/math
- Grade 8: ELA/math/STEM (science/technology/engineering/math)
Please remember that MCAS scores are only one measurement of a child's growth, and our students have many ways of demonstrating their abilities. Last spring's scores will help our school to make decisions regarding students' needs in teaching and learning. In addition to state frameworks, they help to guide us in curriculum development and are one tool identifying students' individual needs.
Please take a moment to look over this information.
Important Dates
- Wednesday, October 20th, is a half day! A bagged lunch will be available to take home.
