Pick Elementary School News

Thank you, PES Parents, for a wonderful year!
Pick Families,
Throughout this academic year, our leaders have been climbing to success at PES! We celebrate the many exciting opportunities, activities, and resources students have engaged in this year to grow in their achievement and development! THANK YOU for being active, supportive partners in your child’s education!
This year, you were invited to attend many special activities and informational sessions to support engagement and strengthen our partnership. These events have included Meet Your Teacher, Curriculum Night, PES Title I Parent Resource Fair, Student Led Conferences, Winter Leaderland, STEM Night, the Aladdin musical, Multicultural Night at CWES, special classroom events, parent conferences, and our recent More Green, Less Screen PES Family Night.
Some of our favorite special activities that were planned for our Pick Leaders this year included grade level novel units : (Harry Potter (5th), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (4th), and The Wild Robot (3rd). We enjoyed STEM units in Venture and 4th Grade Science Week. Students were very excited about the Fishing, Roller Blading, Hockey, and Track and Field units in Physical Education! Our Taste Around the World and Multicultural Night at CWES were joyful celebrations of our beautiful school family. Red Ribbon Week and monthly team competitions illuminated our 7 Habits and ways to grow in our character and leadership.
Throughout the year we have used multiple avenues to provide communication. These included classroom newsletters, newsletters and flyers, the PES school-wide digital SMORE Newsletter, email and text messages, Class Dojo, our school website, and social media.
While we have much to celebrate this year, we embrace the growth mindset we teach our Pick Leaders about. Your feedback is most valuable to support our continual growth. As we wrap us this year and plan for the year ahead, please take a few moments to complete this survey to guide our reflection and planning for the upcoming year.
Thank you again for your partnership and support!
