Terra Nova Students Feed the Community

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the students and staff at Terra Nova School of Science and Sustainability have been growing a lot of food and giving it away to help feed the community. See why students have liked getting their hands dirty!

Thank You for Taking the 2021 Parent Survey

Thank you to the more than 5,700 responses to the 2021 Parent Survey; this is an increase of more than 40% from 2019. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion!

In this year’s survey, 76% of parents reported being confident in their ability to support their child’s learning at home. We know that this school year has required more support for student learning at home from parents, and we appreciate the support you have provided for your child. We look forward to continuing to partner with you next year when students will be physically at school each day.

District-level results for the survey will be posted later in June on the Research & Reports webpage over the summer, and school leaders will receive school-level results and comments.

Have a Safe and Restful Summer!

As a reminder, this is the last issue of the BSD Weekly for the 2020-2021 school year. As the district plans to safely welcome students and staff back to school in the fall, there may be the need to send district-wide communications throughout the summer. We’ll send communications via our new communications platform, ParentSquare. We’ll also post important information on our district website and social media platforms. Please check your email regularly throughout the summer to stay informed.

The BSD Weekly newsletter will resume on Monday, August 2. Have a safe and restful summer!

If you have questions, please join us for a Facebook chat. We’ll be on hand to answer questions on Tuesday, June 29 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please note, this won’t be a live video event but a real-time chat through comments.
