Trail of Courage
Selma to Montgomery March Of 1965
Bloody Sunday
Bloody Sunday was a bloody event. The African Americans were marching with white ministers to protest injustice and to encourage African Americans to register to vote. Many people were injured by white policemen who beat them with nightsticks and trampled them with horses. The marchers didn't fight back because of their non-violent protests.
Freedom Doesn't Come Easily
People fought hard for freedom. People died for their rights. We believe that that shouldn't have happened. They showed courage by marching 54 miles for voting rights.
