Firstly, what is LAN and Internet?

To see what the internet is, visit my article on smore!

LAN - Stands for local area network, it's used to connect computers and devices in a limited area like a home, school, office, computer laboratory. This allows for all memory to be saved in one area monitored by administrators.

Differences between these

Lan allows you to save your memory and data into one public private area known as a router, this could be for more then one computer so this is safe and secure as only administrators can access this. However the internet is quite the opposite, it's global and worldwide to millions of people around the world. It uses T1 telephone lines, cables and more. 'Internet routers direct traffic across the Internet, and a LAN router directs traffic on the LAN.'
