Meet The Team
Mrs. Vega
Hello everyone! I'm Kathy Vega, special education resource/inclusion teacher here at RHE. I can't wait to meet each and every one of you and am looking forward to a great 2020-21 school year.
Ms. Byers
I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years and have taught in Clint, Pflugerville and Round Rock ISD. This is my fourth year in Lake Travis ISD and I am proud to be a part of this beautiful new school Rough Hollow Elementary. Although born in El Paso, I grew up in Oregon and learned to play the violin in the fourth grade. I now play the violin in the Austin Civic Orchestra and have been a part of it for over ten years. This is my passion!
Ms. Beck
Hi! My name is Lizzie Beck, I am one of the inclusion aides. This will be my fourth year in the Lake Travis Independent school district. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2019 and Austin Community College in 2017. Fun fact! I also graduated from Lake Travis HS in 2013! I am currently working on my teacher certification to be certified in special education ec-12 and general education ec-6. I love to travel, camp, attend concerts and hangout with my friends and family! I am looking forward to working with all of the kids this year and I can’t wait to meet you all!
Ms. Scott
I'm Cindy Scott. I'm an inclusion aide. This will be my 14th year working with elementary school students. I love live country music, the beach, and all things Disney! I'm looking forward to meeting you in person!
Ms. Allison
My name is Allison Brackhahn and I am one of the inclusion aides here at Rough Hollow Elementary. This will be my 3rd year at LTISD and I am so excited to be part of a brand new school and a new adventure with your kids. My husband and I have a 5th grade boy at Bee Cave and a dog named Penny. I love Austin and everything about it including football. We can do this together with care and hard work!!
Mr. Duprez
I will be a teacher in the G3 program at RHE. I was born in California, and I was a Russian linguist in the U.S. Army after high school. I like to play and listen to classical music, have two grand kids up in Minnesota, love teaching, and I used to play ice hockey.
Ms. Schreiner
Hi Rattlers, I'm Julie Schreiner, a teacher in the G3 program. I've recently moved to Texas after living in Ohio, Michigan and Alaska. I love fishing, hiking, gardening and puzzles. I'm looking forward to a great year!
Ms. Shelly
I am coming from WCHE, where I was an inclusion para and G3 Para. I have a passion for working with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and collaborating with my special ed team. I love crafting, spending time with my family. I am excited to join the RHE staff and help support all students in the RHE community.

Mrs. Hurlbut
My name is Laura Hurlbut and I will be working with your child this year as a G3 aide. I was born and raised in Austin Texas, and now live in Dripping Springs with my husband. We have three children, Samantha is 24, Brianna is 20 and Ryan is 17. Our favorite family time is usually outdoors and always involves water! I have been in early education for over 10 years and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child.

My name is Fae Andersen, I'm an aide in in the G3 program. I have been in the Lake Travis school district for 14 years as a parent, volunteer, PTO board member and now for the past 3 years I have worked in special education. I am the mother of 4 kids, three of which attend Lake Travis High School. I am looking forward to a new school year.

Hello, I am Faith Hernandez and I'm going to be working as a G3 aide. I am new to LTISD and the G3 program. My previous experience is in reading intervention where I was working in the Marble Falls ISD for the last 6 years. I am SUPER excited to be a part of this wonderful program and I am looking forward to working with your child! This year is going to be so much fun and I can't wait to get to know your families online and in person.
