Articles of Confederation

Government

The Articles of Confederation structured a federal government that had no power, while it also structured a state government. The state had most of the control over, creating laws, enforcing laws, and even their own currency. With thirteen different governments how could unity between them become a reality especially with a federal govrnement that was nearly non-existent.

  • One vote per state
  • 9 of 13 votes required to pass laws
