How Shakespeare Uses His Words in His Writing
What is His Language?
Shakespeare, in his plays and poetry, uses the Early Modern English language. People usually get this language confused with Old English or Middle English, when it is different.
Description of Languages
•Old English is close to the Germanic mother tongue of the Anglo Saxons.
•Middle English is easier but still looks like a foreign language much of the time.
•Early Modern English, spoken by Shakespeare, is the most identical to contemporary English.
