LAST WEEK AT A GLANCE (1/13-1/18)

We form the character of each student by giving witness to Gospel values

PRAYER LIFE AT HOLY TRINITY

Each week we have several different prayer services: Faculty Sharing on Mondays, Praise and Worship band on Tuesdays, Mass on Wednesdays (unless we're at St. Mary's for the first Thursday each month), Holy Rosary on Thursdays, and Adoration on Fridays. Here are some pictures from this past week of prayer at Holy Trinity.

MONDAY - Faculty Sharing and reflection on the Gospel with Ms. Snyder

TUESDAY - Praise and Worship Band followed by prayer intentions from students

WEDNESDAY - Mass - this week with Fr. Francisco from Our Lady of Guadalupe

Thank you Father Francisco for coming to HT to celebrate Mass with us!

THURSDAY - Holy Rosary led by HT Students

FRIDAY - Adoration of the Holy Eucharist

-----

We strive to develop the intellect..

Mrs. Johnston's Pre Calculus class wore bow ties to remind them to always use bow tie triangles (angles to x-axis).

Mrs. Kelley's Freshman Biology class is hard at work

Big picture

----

We seek to form the Christian Leaders of tomorrow

Friday lunch is still our favorite - Student Council organizes and sells Pizza! All proceeds go to help fund our Prom which will be held on May 9th this year.

And it's always nice to get a little something extra from the snack bar which Mr. Pete keeps well stocked with all sorts of treats

CELTIC GALA 2020

Big picture

CELTIC GALA - 2020 - LIGHT OF THE WORLD Saturday, February 1st, 6pm

Hello HT Families,

We are a few short weeks from our Celtic Gala 2020. The Celtic Gala is our most important fundraiser of the year. It helps us fund our Tuition Assistance program, which allows so many of our students to attend Holy Trinity. We encourage everyone to consider joining us for this special event and show your support for our school.

Please consider attending our Gala. You may purchase your tickets directly at the office, or you may purchase your Gala tickets online by clicking on the following link (if you cannot attend, please consider clicking on the link below to make a donation to our Gala - your support in turn supports our students!):

Main Event Ticket Page - https://app.hellofund.com/view/WVPYbpw9

A few other reminders--

1) HT Families (Killian, Columba, Finnian, and Aidan) all put together baskets for the silent auction. Family sponsors will be coordinating that with your student. We usually ask for students to bring items that pertain to their family basket, or a monetary donation.

The family baskets are as follows:

Columba--Movie Basket

Killian--Valentine's Basket

Aidan-- Rainy Day Basket

Finnian-- Handyman Basket

2) HT Classes (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior) also pitch in to make bigger class baskets that are auctioned off as a live auction item. You may donate a monetary amount ($20 is recommended) or you may bring items that pertain to your class basket.

The class baskets are as follows:

Freshman--St. Rose Gardener's Basket. Here is the link to sign up for items with google sheets.

Everyone should be able to sign up, but if you cannot, you might have to request permission to sign up. You may also just bring items up to the school office. All items for Class baskets and Family Baskets must be turned in by Friday January 24th to allow us time to put it all together.

Thank you, thank you for helping with these items for our school gala!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE CELTIC GALA

The Annual Holy Trinity Gala is the most important fundraiser of the year. We invite you to consider being a part of the fun by either attending our gala and/or joining our dynamic team of volunteers. Below are two areas we are in need of volunteers for:

* Class Baskets: In past years, each class (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) makes a "basket" for the Gala. It's approaching that time of year again and we are in need of parents for each grade level to help organize and oversee the creation of the class baskets.

***We auction all 4 class "baskets" at the Live Auction during the Gala.***

The baskets do really well and are loved by all and are well bid on items at the Gala. They help us make meet our fundraising goal and are essential to the success of our Gala. Come be a part of a special group of families that helps make our Gala special.

* Planning and Coordinating: We are putting together our planning and coordinating teams and would love to invite you to join the fun. There is everything from helping advertise our gala, to decorating, planning the dinner, planning games, helping with the Silent and/or Live Auctions. Everything you do helps our Gala, which helps our school.

Helping with the Celtic Gala is a great way to support Holy Trinity and meet other families and work 'behind the scenes'. If you are interested in being on a Class Basket Team or on the Planning and Coordinating Team (or both!), please contact Mrs. Jordanna Richesin: jrichesin@holytrinitychs.org.

Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter is hosting their 17th Annual Benefit Banquet on Friday, January 24th, 2020, at the Frank Mayborn Civic and Convention Center. They are seeking student volunteers to assisting with hosting the evening.

Students will wear black pants and a white shirt and need to arrive by 5:30 pm to begin assisting with setting up tables and help with serving the meals to the attendees, as well as assisting people in finding their tables.

Students will be fed dinner and will receive service hours. This is a great ministry and a great way to say thank you to OLAMS for all the support they've given our school. Please consider volunteering if you are able.

To volunteer, contact Mrs. Brogan and she will put you in touch with the OLAMs cooridinator.

All families are asked to complete 20 service hours

EIM TRAINING FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS

Ethics and Integrity Ministry (EIM)

In an effort to protect our children, the Diocese of Austin mandates that all individuals who have contact with our children must be in compliance with the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry Policy, which equips each of us with the tools and knowledge to protect our children from possible abuse and perpetrators. All parents MUST complete this process to volunteer at the school.

Registration is required through the Diocese. In order to register for an EIM Workshop, you must first complete the volunteer application which is on their website. Once you have attended the workshop please submit a copy of the certificate to the school office. This workshop is for new parents and those who are in need of the refresher course.
