Gateway Open House
Febraury 8 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Gateway Community and Technical College is hosting an Open House event on Thursday, February 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at our Center for Technology, Innovation, and Enterprise at 516 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY. The event is designed for high school seniors (juniors welcome!) and their parents or guardians. I’ve posted the schedule below, but the thrust of this event is to introduce students to the programs Gateway has to offer. We want to ensure students know our programs (everything from two to three class certifications in Computer Information Technology, to degrees in massage therapy, up to Associate in Science transfer degrees with Pre-Med science offerings) but also who we are and why we might be a good fit for them (or, sometimes, students find out we’re not a good fit – and that’s okay too).
Our college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), so our credits transfer anywhere and so do our students. While most of our students remain local (the majority transfer to Northern Kentucky University), we do have students who continue elsewhere outside of the region. Many of our technical programs have state and national accreditation based upon their industry and trade standards.
Students and guardians who are even remotely interested are encouraged to attend. This event was dreamt up by a group of faculty in the Division of Arts & Sciences who care about our college and really wanted to reach out to all the high schools in our region.
A link to the flyer is attached below. More information about the event (including a schedule) and a link to an RSVP is here: gateway.kctcs.edu/openhouse.
