Saint Francis, AHS partner for rare shadowing program

Ten of our pre-nursing students at AHS are taking part in a first-of-its-kind shadowing program with Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett! Each week until the end of the semester, these students will shadow different professionals around the hospital, and it’s giving them unbelievable insight into the field.

AMS crowns new Geography Bee champ

After nine rounds and dozens of questions about U.S. geography, AMS crowned a new champion for the annual AMS Geography Bee. The 6th grade class stole the show, with Brenna Robertson taking 1st place, followed by Jeremy Leggett as runner-up.

Trigon Sports Athletes of the Month (December)

Athletes of the Month (December 2019)

AHS Boys Basketball Jace Lockhart averages 5 points and 3 assists per game and is always counted on stopping the opponent's best player. Add in his 4.3 GPA and 28 ACT score, he's a stud athlete and student.


Lady Tiger Carmen Taylor is also electrifying on the court. She averaged 18 ppg on a recent All-Tournament team and has had a game-high of 25 points.


AHS Wrestling closes out weekend with solid performances

It was a great weekend for Tiger Wrestling! Friday night, the boys beat Arkansas’s returning state runner-up, Lakeside High School, 66-18. The guys followed that up by beating district opponent Munford 63-18.


On Saturday, the team competed in the Briarcrest Dawg Fights and took 1st place!

Third Place: Jacob Roaten & Hayden Baudoin

AHS Tigers clinch victories against Bartlett in both girls and boys games

Fans at Friday's challenge between AHS and Bartlett saw both the boys and girls Tiger squads hold off the Panthers. The girls ended their game with a comfortable 21-point lead, with the final score being 57-36. The boys game saw a tighter match, but a victory nonetheless, with the Tigers winning 47-40.


The Tigers travel to Kingsbury to confront the Falcons in a AAA District 14 challenge tonight!
