Attendance
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is very important to student achievement. It is our goal this year to increase attendance rates. The more school a student attends, the more they learn. Students learn best when they are at school. Here are some definitions of terms that you may here regarding attendance. Reach out to the school office if you are struggling to get your child to school!
ADA (Average Daily Attendance): The percent of enrolled students who attend school each day. It is used to allocate funding in a normal school year.
Truancy = Students who are missing school without permission. This refers to having 3 unexcused absences in California.
Chronically Absent: Students who are missing so much school they are academically at risk. Broadly means missing 10% of school for any reason - excused, unexcused, suspended, etc. Chronic absenteeism is a required reporting metric in ESSA and shown on each school’s dashboard.

Exciting Opportunity from the Petaluma Health Center’s (PHC) Dental Department:
Exciting Opportunity from the Petaluma Health Center’s (PHC) Dental Department:
In an effort to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed in school and be free of dental pain, CRPUSD has partnered with the PHC’s Dental Department to provide free or reduced cost dental care to its students. PHC will work with families directly to enroll students in free or reduced cost dental coverage.
Dentists will be providing dental check-ups, cleanings, sealants and other necessary treatment to students while in summer school. Masks will be required for all patients. PHC will provide them if needed.
In order to provide dental services to your child, you must complete the attached consent form. We will not be able to see your child if these forms are not filled out completely. Dental care reports will be sent home after every visit, for every child we see, so you are still involved every step of the way.
