Update
As many of you may recall, the school board for SJE made a decision towards the end of last year that there would be no unplanned e-learning days for the 18-19 school year. Should we close due to a weather-related issue, the day would be made up later in the year via a planned e-learning day AND/OR added to the end of the school year. That procedure will not change for the 18-19 school year. The school board will review e-learning at their April meeting to determine what to do for the 19-20 school year.
This year we have had two weather closures, Sept 14th and Nov 15th. The September date will be made up with school in session this Friday, December 21st. The November date will be made up on February 15th using a planned e-learning day.
At this time we have one day left before the end of the school year that can be used to make up a weather closure. That day is February 18th, President's Day. We are currently not in school that day so if we use it, it would be a school in session parent drive day. Every weather closure beyond that, the day would extend the school year.
