Teachers employed by public or private schools (K-4 – 12) in Richland County (Richland Districts 1 and 2, and Richland/Lexington 5) are eligible for teacher cards.
Teacher cards are free for teachers who live and work in Richland County. Teachers who work in Richland County but live outside Richland County can get a teacher card for an annual fee of $10.
Teacher cards offer all the benefits and restrictions of a regular library card. Teachers can check out up to 60 items, and items are still subject to late, damaged and lost fees.
Teacher cards expire after one year and can be renewed each year. To get or renew a teacher card, simply come in to any Richland Library location and show a school ID, pay statement or documentation of employment on your school letterhead.
