Sticky Notes Meet Evernote
A new feature in the iOS 7 version of Evernote is the ability to take a picture of a sticky note and digitize it. You can choose from a few different colors and when you add notes you can make them searchable by keyword.
I have been using Evernote for quite some time now. If you haven't tried it out you certainly should. Here are just some of the fantastic features it offers.
- audio recording
- date and time reminders
- presentation of notes
- note sharing via link
- make notes searchable by tag
- clip webpages on Mac/PC
- integration with Skitch & Outlook
- email to Evernote feature
Some uses for teachers:
- Administrators and teachers can use it for meeting notes, research, lesson plans, task lists, lesson resources.
- Keep running records on students.
- Keep a portfolio of work for each student.
- Share a weekly newsletter with parents

Have You Tried Gaggle Yet?
All 4th-12th grade students and teachers have Gaggle accounts. Have you given it a try yet? It's not just email but also includes dropboxes, a way to distribute and collect homework, and provide students a place to blog and have discussions. If you have iPads there is also an app that you can use including grading work as a teacher.
