Now There Are Four

We have completed the transition to four Kindergarten classrooms. Thank you to everyone for your patience and support. Change is not easy to for anyone, especially the youngsters. It is worth it, however, to have smaller class sizes. Ms. Fuller has quickly become a part of the team. Luckily she comes with a great deal of teaching experience.

Upcoming Events

  • Tomorrow is Grandparents Day! Children and family can enjoy a meal in celebration.
  • The Book Fair is also in full swing. This is a great opportunity to add to the home library and support our school at the same time. Be sure to stop by!
  • Next Thursday is Open House from 5-7. There is a PTA meeting that same evening from 5 to 5:30. Thank you to all who have already joined the PTA. PTA is a vital organization that helps our students in countless ways. PLEASE JOIN!
  • Hispanic Heritage Month starts September 15 to October 15. Be on the look out for information on our famous Hispanic Heritage program. It is always a lively and fun event.
  • The Cookie Dough fundraiser kicked off this week. Orders are due on the 29th.
  • Friday, September 25 is Ft. Bend County Fair Day. There is no school on this day.

What We Are Learning

In reading, we are finishing testing so that we will know how to individualize instruction in small guided reading groups. In writing, we are starting working on making lists and labeling our work. We are also developing fine motor skills in improve handwriting and writing stamina.

In math, we are also finishing up testing in order to begin small group guided math. We will finish 2D shapes and begin composing and decomposing numbers.

Science is the Five Senses.

Social Studies is looking at the community and authority figures.
