Way to Go! I am so proud of you!
GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE
This week schools all over the nation are participating in The Great Kindness Challenge. The purpose is to show students that kindness is contagious so spread it around. There are Kindness Checklists in your mailboxes to give to students. It is a master list so all things might not be possible for every student. At the end of the week students will be able to turn in their checklist and if they have completed at least half of the items then they will be entered into a drawing. The drawing will take place at the next PawPride Assembly.
Kindness stations-
I will be at every recess with a kindness station set up that students may choose to participate in. Each day the center will have something different...thank you notes, friendship bracelets, kindness chains, etc. I have recruited several 3rd grade students to help so far. I still need more 3rd grade students and a few 4th graders to help me with this throughout the week. I have a schedule with times and will be coming around to ask when is a good time for students to help.
I hope we have a great week of spreading kindness!
"If you can be anything...be kind"
From the Boss...
What a CRAZY beginning to 2016. I know I need for the month of February to be better than January has been. I also know that I am ready to get back into a regular routine. Below are some changes due to the weather Friday:
1. The 4th grade G/T quiz bowl tournament has been rescheduled for Friday, February the 5th.
2. Power Panthers that were to be honored at the basketball game Friday has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 23rd.
3. I have not made a decision if we are going make up PAW Pride this Friday for just wait until February 5th. I will let you know the decision by Monday afternoon.
The Great Kindness Challenge will be this week. I am looking forward to the exciting things Jana has planned for the week. See her email or information above about the Great Kindness Challenge Week!
Love you,
Casey Hanna
