Letter from Our President
Dear Cougar Nation,
As I begin my first year as President of St. Louis-Reicher Catholic School, I am reflecting on our first few months of collective experiences and accomplishments. It has been a joy to have met so many of our parents and certainly an even greater joy to get to better know our students. I take great pleasure in seeing all of our students develop academically, socially and spiritually as we continue the mission of creating a unified Catholic community. We have been fortunate this summer to accomplish much-needed facilities projects and invest time in our staff to ensure they are supported and prepared to serve your children.
I began my tenure as President with an immediate focus on increasing retention and enrollment. During the school year, we will evaluate everything from Catholic identity, academics, facilities, communications, extracurricular activities, school safety, and our admissions and development plans. To further align our schools, we will explore the options of consolidating as many things as possible before the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.
Additionally, the school administration and I will undertake an extensive review of our most pressing academic needs and identify a list of targeted areas for investment via multiple options, as well as funding for incorporating these initiatives.
It is an exciting time for St. Louis-Reicher Catholic School. These capital investments position our school for growth. Our improvements will resonate to our community that we are here to stay and will continue to be a valuable and outstanding educational model in the greater Waco area.
Thank you for your continued commitment to St. Louis-Reicher Catholic School. If I can ever be of assistance to you or your family please don't hesitate to contact me.
In Christ,
Blake W. Evans
President
St. Louis-Reicher Catholic School

April 9
This Friday, August 30, is NOT a half day of school.
You are Invited to Pray the Rosary
Parents are invited to pray the Rosary together every Tuesday morning beginning September 3 at the St. Louis Catholic School Chapel. Parents should drop off their students as usual, then proceed to park in the front of the school, sign in and go to the chapel. We will be praying the Rosary for the success and safety of our children, for the school and the staff, and any other personal intentions parents wish to share.
We will also be praying at the Reicher Chapel on Wednesdays beginning September 4 using the same procedures.
Thank you to Mrs. Liz DeLaRosa for organizing this wonderful opportunity.

It's Time to Sell Charleston Wrap
Teachers will be handing out today brochures for your child to take home for the SLPA Fall Fundraiser. The SLPA is excited to once again have Charleston Wrap – you can see in the front foyer several items that can be purchased either online or in the catalog. Why does the SLPA fundraise? Your SLPA Fee assists with student events such as Field Day, class parties/dances and family and student events. The SLPA fundraisers support our school community as a whole by sponsoring free events like Pasta with the Priests, President and Principals this week! Other events include Movies on the Lawn night, Kona Ice at Field Day, student and teacher appreciation, too.
This year’s top seller will receive a $200 gift card and second place will receive a $100 gift card. Our catalog sale ends September 17 and online orders are due September 22 to be eligible for the grand prizes.
