BOARD OF EDUCATION RECAP & MASKING CHANGE
NEW PARENT PICK UP PROCEDURES
Each family is assigned an individual parent pick up number to use if you choose to pick up your student at the end of the school day. You should have received your number from your students homeroom teacher during the Open House on Wednesday. This number should be kept in your car. When arriving in the parent pick up area, please have that number clearly visible to our staff on the passenger side of your vehicle. Your students will then be dismissed from their classrooms to meet you by our parent pickup line.
Your student’s teacher will know your family number and will assist in letting your students know they may exit the classroom and head to the parent pick up area.
Click Here for Parent Pick up and Drop Off information regarding students that are brought to or picked up from school by personal vehicle.
4K IMPORTANT INFORMATION
In 4K, we begin the school year with Getting to Know You Days, in which each 4K child, along with one parent, will be invited for a 15-20 minute time slot to come visit their classroom, drop off supplies, meet their teacher, and of course, answer any questions you or your child may have!
This year, our Getting to Know You Days are Wednesday, September 1st, Thursday, September 2nd, and Friday, September 3rd from 8am-4pm. You should have received communication from your child’s teacher on how to sign your child up for a Getting to Know You Conference.
At this time, all visitors into the school building are required to wear a mask whether you are vaccinated or not, so please plan to bring masks for you and your family. If there are any other changes to district protocols that would impact the Getting to Know You Days, your teacher will be in touch with additional details and next steps.
As a reminder, the first day for all 4K students is Tuesday, September 7th.

KIDS CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Many families are enrolled in our before and after school care through KIDS CLUB, under the Community & Recreation Department. Since Kids Club operates within Franklin Public Schools, we will be following the same masking and safety protocols as the schools. Here are some brief notes about what you can expect when dropping off or picking up your child from Kids Club:
Parents may not enter the building and we will use the same “walkie talkie” protocol that we utilized last year. More communication about this regarding how to use the walkie to call into the building will be coming to families soon.
Per the district masking protocols, children need to be masked to enter the elementary building and our staff is not able to help children put on their masks. Please see that your child is properly masked before entering the building.

ROBINWOOD PTO DIRECTORY
Once again, Robinwood will be using the Join Our Class online directory for all student classroom and contact information. The School is unable to give out classroom information, student addresses or phone numbers. If you would like this information (for example for a birthday party or playdate), you will need to sign up for the Robinwood PTO Parent directory at the beginning of the year. Only the families that sign up will be in the directory and be able to get the directory.
**If you are new to Robinwood, or have not signed up for the directory in the past, please send an email to Leslie Alles (leslie.alles1023@gmail.com). In the email, please include your child's name, grade, teacher’s name, a parent's name, and any additional contact information you would like included.
**If you have participated in the directory in the past, you do not need to request access. However, if you want your child's grade and teacher information updated, or if you need your password reset, please send an email to Leslie.

PTO NEWS UPDATE
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. We are so happy to transition into the new school year and hope that things start to return to normal very soon. To our new families we welcome you with open arms and are glad to have you apart of our Robinwood family. To our returning families, we hope to see you all soon face to face and appreciate all the support you have given us over the past few years!
In these trying times and with an abundance of caution, we may have delays on many of our school sponsored PTO activities this year. We are are hopeful that by Trimester 2 or 3, we can resume back to in-person meetings and activities to give our students the best possible school experience they deserve. We’re trying to organize our annual Robinwood RUSH (an outside school run event) for this fall but have some other options if we have a setback from Covid restrictions. More details will be out soon! We are also looking into some virtual events (Book Fair included! In case face to face options aren’t viable.)
We are currently looking to fill a few roles within the PTO including an officer spot for treasurer and a few co-chair roles as well. Please reach out to Robinwood PTO at: rwk6pto@gmail.com for more information. We would like to have the treasurer spot filled by our September meeting if possible. Continue to look in the newsletters to find updates on what we are doing, when meetings and events are and please, become an active member in our PTO! We are always in need of great parent or grandparent volunteers to help run our events. Remember, you can make a difference in your child’s life by getting involved.
From our PTO to your home, we hope this year brings nothing but new friendships, new skill sets, new learnings and new dreams along with some normalcy back to our children.
Best of luck this school year,
Robinwood PTO Officers
Corinne Azzaline- President
Carrie Bronstad- Co-President
Amy Winters- Vice President
Sarah Rosario- Secretary
