The Gompers GATOR Bulletin 9/30/19

Notes from Dr. Miller

Dear Gompers K8 Parent Community,

Our first K-8 Guidelines for Success - GREEN/Student of the Month Assembly is this Monday, 9/30....soooo excited to celebrate the Gators who are exemplifying all the traits of our community expectations. Gompers is goingggggg G - R - E - E - N! (Please note if your child is being recognized information has been given to the family by the teacher).

As a working parent myself, I know the struggles of the morning rush to get students up and self out of the door. However, we/Gompers are accumulating toooooooooo many tardies for this to be the 20th day of school. Please ensure your students arrive prior to the bell. Learning begins in the classroom @ 8:55 for Middle School, 9:00 for ES (early Kinders - 5th grade) and 10:40 (late Kinders).

Fall fundraisers fun " COOP" season is here....I am ready to trade some "coops". Thank you, families, for supporting our PTA school's fundraising efforts. PTA directly enhances many enrichment programs at our site.

As we continue to work...please note that supervision of students does not begin until 8:15 each day. Students who arrive earlier than that are not supervised by the school. Please ensure your child's safety by dropping off at the times specified times for supervision: 8:15. Continue to know that safety and security are key for the students and well-being of the learning environment.

Lastly, I hope to see you next week at Dr. Miller's Coffee Hour; Friday, October 11 @ 9:30am. An opportunity to chat with the principal, learn about the school's instructional goals and ways and avenue you can help support at home with learning.

Do you know our school's "new" spirit song?
