A Message from the Principal
Greetings St. Anthony Catholic High School Community!
"Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God." Romans 8:39
What great love God has for us! He continues to provide so much to our school. Our girls and boys basketball teams are headed to the state championship tournaments this weekend. Our state championship softball team won their home opener game last night against Churchill. Our swim team won several medals in their tournament yesterday. And, our enrollment season kicked off last week with an overflow of interviews for our incoming 9th graders and much enthusiasm to become a Yellow Jacket. God is filling our nets in many ways!
Our Robotics Team will be showcased at the S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Showcase at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School this upcoming Saturday from 12:00pm-5:00pm. They are going to have many organizations attending, food trucks and much more. See flyer below for more information.
This Saturday we also have another opportunity to prepare for the SAT Test. There will be a FREE Princeton Review SAT Session from 11:00am-3:30pm in the cafeteria. All 11th graders will be taking the SAT on Wednesday, March 7 during the school day. A practice packet of information was sent home last week to help prepare for the test.
The last day of the 3rd 9 weeks will be next Friday, March 9 with report cards going out the following week. Please encourage your child to have all work submitted before spring break. Tutoring is available either during the morning or afternoon in all classes.
We have been busy preparing for our upcoming Gala on April 7, 2018. Our goal is to raise funds to invest in technology and have devices for our students next year. If you know of any business who would like to invest in our 21st Century Yellow Jacket Learners, please contact our Director of Development, Henry Garcia. See flyer below for more information.
We have been interviewing many candidates for the Counselor position this week with the help of the Archdiocese. We should have a new counselor within the next 10 school days. We had a plethora of interested candidates so we are praying for God to send us the best one to help serve our kids.
As we move through the lenten journey, we pray for all students, families and the community of St. Anthony Catholic High School to be filled with the Holy Spirit as we grow closer in our relationship with Jesus. One of my favorite Catholic websites, www.dynamiccatholic.com has an abundance of lenten resources to carry us through this journey. See flyer below for more information.
Thank you for your continued prayers, love and support as we build a school that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father!
Dear Almighty Father- We thank you for your blessings you have bestowed upon us and your protection to have moved us through this year. We praise you for getting us through accreditation. We praise you for all the wonderful students enrolling in the school you are building. We ask you for wisdom and love for each other as we guide your children to lead a life that is pleasing to you. May your favor be upon all of your children and their families. Guide our hearts through this Lenten season! In Jesus Name, Amen.
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23
May your life be blessed!
