Principal's Perspective
Next week is a big week for us at the Glen! On Monday, we'll celebrate our 100th day of school! This is always a fun day of watching our kindergarteners dress up and celebrate being a 100 days smarter.
On Wednesday, we will celebrate Global School Play Day!!! GSPD started as an effort to encourage unstructured play for kids. Our community is blessed with many opportunities for organized sports and activities, but the true emphasis of GSPD is unorganized play...letting kids take the lead in their creativity, sharing, problem solving, and playing together. This is one of our favorite days of the school year! Your child will come home tired on Wednesday evening from a whole day of play!
Stay warm and safe this weekend and get ready for an awesome week ahead!
In partnership,
Mary Beth Fischer
Global School Play Day is February 1st!

A Note from Nurse Jeannie
Dear Parents,
Valentine’s Day is approaching so I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder about our Food and Wellness Program. All of our parties at Maple Glen are Food Free due to the increase of students with severe food allergies. Please do not send any candy attached to your student’s Valentine’s Day cards. Also do not send any food or treats to school to be passed out for Valentine’s Day with your student.
Remember there are a lot of fun non edible items that can be brought in with your child’s Valentine’s Day cards. (Pencils, stickers, erasers etc.) Many of these items can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Party Tree and Michael’s. Thanks for all of your help and cooperation. Our main objective is to keep our students healthy and safe; and still have fun!

Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
