Device Fees

Devices will come home on Monday! If you have not paid your child's device fee, please do so!

The fee is $25 per child and can be paid on campus (cash, check, or credit card) or via MySchoolBucks. / enrollment / device protection fee online payment system - These steps will direct you to MySchoolBucks.

We use our devices daily to enhance instruction through educational apps, collaborative projects through google suite, reading ebooks, and so much more! If you want more information, contact your child's teacher to talk about all of the awesome experiences these tools provide for their learners!

News to Know

Get to Know our Counselor, Mrs. Tyer

Hello! My name is Tiffany Tyer, and it is my privilege to continue to serve as the school counselor for LaRue Miller Elementary. I have been a school counselor for 8 years in an elementary school setting as well as 7 years as a classroom teacher. My goal is to directly impact all student’s social and emotional development through character education. I strongly believe that a person’s character will take them to higher levels of achievement and success in all areas of life. Fostering strong, positive relationships with all students is one of my top priorities. In addition, a few school counseling services provided are:

  • Classroom guidance lessons - delivering classroom lessons K-5 based on personal, social, academic and career competencies.

  • Individual student planning - assisting students with behavioral and academic goal setting.

  • Responsive services - meeting immediate student needs (counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, referral, peer mediation, information-providing).

  • System support - school-wide program planning and implementation, consulting with other professionals, coordination of various supports for students and families.

I look forward to collaborating with our wonderful staff and parents at LME to help our learners value character and self-discipline so that they may grow into positive leaders! You can connect with me on Facebook ( to see the wonderful things our scholars are learning through classroom guidance lessons called Character Class.

One of our campus goals is to increase attendance by 1% for the year, and since September is attendance awareness month, we will share some attendance resources with you.

Also, to encourage good attendance, we will recognize the class with the best attendance each month. At the end of each nine weeks, we will host an atten"dance" for each student who is present from bell to bell each day.

Thank you for helping us earn great attendance by bringing your child(ren) to school on time each and every day!

Genius Hour

We will start Genius Hour this week. Students (K-5) will take a survey (at school) indicating their top 3 club choices on Monday and will be placed in one of those clubs. If your 2nd - 5th grader chooses "FreeStyle" as their club choice, a permission slip will be sent home (probably Wednesday) as they will be responsible for providing their own supplies.

If you are interested in running a club or assisting in one, we would love to have you for future sessions! We are actively seeking someone to host a wood shop club to make Home Depot quick build projects (birdhouse, car, picture frame, etc.). We have the supplies. We just need volunteers to help! Let me know if you are interested!
