"The Dawns Here Are Quiet"
Film review by the team "Mosfilm"
This film review was written for the project "The Miracle Of Cinematography".
"The Dawns Here Are Quiet" (1982) is a military historical drama directed by Stanislav Rostotsky.
Andrey Martynov, Elena Drapeko, Olga Ostroumova played the main parts in it.
The plot of the film is based on the eponymous book by Boris Vasilyev.
It shows us one of the episodes of the terrible war of 1941-1945 when Soviet people wanted to liberate their country from the fascists even at the cost of their lives.
The main character, Senior Sergeant Vaskov is stationed with a group of young women, and together they have to withstand a group of German saboteurs in order not to let them occupy the railway station.
Five girls who went with Vaskov to do the mission are very different, not only in their appearance but also in their characters, habits, social background. But still they listen to their leader and help each other.
We think that this film is really worth seeing, because it shows us the war from a different angle - that when any war starts it doesn't matter whether you are a man, a woman, a child or an old person - they all fight for their Motherland.
We were very impressed by this film because it shows us an example of real heroism and struggle against the enemy.
We would recommend teenagers to watch this film. We think it will help them to understand what our life is.
