Distance Learning Instruction Model Extended
Until further notice, suspension of face-to-face instruction will be extended for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Unless the stay-at-home orders are significantly lifted before June 4 (the last day of the school year), we will not plan to resume in-person instruction this school year.
Plans for the 2020-2021 school year are still being discussed and we will certainly pass any new information along to our families if any plans are finalized. Thank you for your continued patience as we learn and process new information issued from the state and county level. It is extremely important that all school districts in Shasta County are united in their decisions to remain closed to in-person instruction, as well as any future plans for reopening once it is determined safe.
Teachers are continuing to provide high-quality distance learning through a variety of online resources, including Google Classroom. Please continue to check in each day to Google Classroom and other applications each teacher has specified so that we can verify daily interaction with online learning to keep track of students’ participation. Although assignments are not graded during this time, teachers are verifying participation and giving feedback as needed on assignments for completion purposes.
Pacheco Students - Teachers are calculating points for completion of assignments based on your HOUSE (Kujali, Bepaling, Quantum, Honesta). A winning house will be determined based on participating with assignments and distance learning activities and a reward will be given to the winning house at the end of May once all house points are calculated. If you are working with paper packets, please return them to the school so we may calculate your points!
Weekly office hours continue to be available for students and parents to check in with teachers and ask questions as needed. Each schedule varies depending on the teacher and class, so please check Google Classroom for regular updates to stay informed on the latest classroom news.
If you are unable to access regular/reliable Internet and/or you would like your student to have a paper packet for the week, every Monday from 9:00-12:00 we will be available at each campus for packet distribution. Packets will continue to be delivered on Tuesdays with lunch delivery to Riverland Market.
**Please let your student’s teacher(s) know if you need a paper packet so we can ensure enough copies for everyone in need.
If you (parents or students!) are in need of any technical assistance accessing any programs with virtual learning or just need some pointers to troubleshoot, we are offering technical assistance at Pacheco from 9:00-12:00 on Mondays. Please stop in anytime during that time frame and we will be happy to help!

VIRTUAL SPIRIT THEME WEEK!
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10! Let’s honor our moms, grandmas, aunts, etc. this week and show us how you appreciate them! You could make them breakfast, do some chores, pick them some flowers, or just give them a big hug! We want to see how you are celebrating this day throughout the week!
