Trombly Terriers Taking Care of Business
January 6, 2020
Welcome Back and Happy 2020!
Approaching the Mid-Year Point
Friday, January 17 will mark the half-way point of the 2019-2020 school year. That also means that Trombly will be administering several assessments with the data to be used as checkpoints for the half-way mark.
All students in K - 5 will take the NWEA MAP test in reading and math. To support writing instruction, all Trombly students will participate in the Grosse Pointe Writing Assessment. Teachers will use these pieces to provide the right writing support to our students. Many of our students will be assessed using the Fountas & Pinnell Reading Assessments. These results will be matched up with the Fall assessment and assist us in helping students grow as readers.
If you should have any questions about each of these assessments, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
