The Cherokee Indians live in the mountains of N.C.The Cherokee used their Natural Resources in the mountains to survive.They even use their animals for things.
Cherokee's food
They use corn, wheat, and beans and use it in a special way. They pick nuts and fruit to make a fine dessert. They eat more food when they have a powwow.
Cherokee's shelter
They use logs, mud bendable sticks , and they use the logs, and mud and tie them together to make there home.The Cherokee used grass, twigs, leaves, and sticks of wheat.
Cherokee's Clothes
Cherokee people made their clothes out of deer skin and other large animals skin. The women wear tear dresses so it can be loss for them. The dress has to be in style. The children didn't wear clothes; just in winter or in fall. When the kid is 11 years old and up they start wearing clothes.
The Culture Traditions of the Cherokee
The stomp dance!
These Cherokee have a special tradition named the stomp dance. They do a stomp dance to keep their ancestors tradition alive. They even told story's of animals , friendships, and sometimes funny story's through the dances.
Stickball
When they play stickball they can have up to 50 members on each team. They have to play with a another Indian tribe. Before each game, they do a little dance and encourage the people who are going to play.
