The Atmosphere

The outside layer of our Earth!

What is the Atmosphere?

The atmosphere is a thin layer of gases that surrounds the Earth. It seals the planet and protects us.

Why do we need our atmosphere ?

The atmosphere makes earth livable , traps heat , and maintains weather . It protects us from the dangers of space!

What lives in our Atmosphere?

Bacteria is mostly found in Earth’s Atmosphere. Birds do fly around in the Atmosphere but they live on the Mantle.

How does the Atmosphere depend on other Spheres?

Consider your body: you are made up of living cells (biosphere) that contain water (hydrosphere) and minerals (lithosphere) which are used to convert oxygen to carbon dioxide (atmosphere). Your body works together as a whole just like the spheres do!
