News From the Nest
Week of May 2-6, 2022
Dear Audubon Park School Community,
FSA testing begins this week. Please assure that your child arrives on time this week. A reminder that 7th and 8th graders need their own wired headphones and their device fully charged. See all testing dates in this newsletter.
Wednesday please make plans to join us for May the 4th B(ike) With You event. This will be fun morning for National Walk and Bike to School Day. The City of Orlando, and Commissioner Stuart and Sheehan are teaming up with our Safe Routes APS Team to coordinate a family ride/walk from Leu Gardens to APSK8 before school. There will be special travel lanes marked off for this event. We hope to see you in your purple and green school spirit gear or get adventurous with a Star Wars theme.
I'll be riding on the APS Surrey Bike with some special guests on board. City Commissioner Robert Stuart and Patty Sheehan will be joining us on their own bikes. Come ride or walk with us! Join me Wednesday morning, departing Leu Gardens at 8:00 a.m. Please see graphic below for all the details.
This week also brings our Spring Music Concert this Thursday. Mr. Walters and his talented students have been working hard and we can't wait to feature the songs of the season this week in the Cafetorium at 6:00 p.m.

NEED TO GET IN SHAPE?
Do you know rising 6-8th grade girls interested in playing lacrosse at Winter Park High School?
Florida Youth Athletics and the coaches from Winter Park High School are looking to put together a Girls Middle School Lacrosse team for this Summer.
They are looking for rising 6th - 8th graders to participate.
This is a great opportunity for girls who are interested in playing lacrosse in HS, to come out and learn how and get better.
