Practicum Leader Interest Meeting
There are many way to serve in different capacities.
Our yearly 3-Day Parent Practicums offer encouragement, inspiration, and equipping to parents and interested educators.
It takes a TEAM to facilitate this encouraging event.
Director/Tutor Trainer: to lead out three days of program specific training
Hostess: Assists the Support Manager in whatever tasks she might need help with.
Practicum Coordinator Hostess: Works alongside the Support Manager to ensure the Practicum runs smoothly.
Facility Manager (FM): Often helps secure facility. Once the facility is secured, the FM communicates with the church before the practicum, makes necessary arrangements, takes care of facility needs during the practicum, communicates with practicum coordinator, hostess, and child care coordinator about facility concerns and
arranges for set-up and clean-up before and after the practicum.
Camp Coordinator (CC): Oversees all aspects of the camps. Additional volunteer help is highly recommended.
Recess Leader: This falls under the Camp Coordinator. The recess leader gives the Geo and Academic camp leaders breaks in the a.m. and p.m. The recess leader is needed from about 9:45 - 11:15 and 1:45 to 3:15 each day. The schedule of recess times will come from Camp Coordinator.
Hospitality Manager (HM): Oversees all aspects of hospitality including food, maps etc.
Housing Coordinator (HC): May secure a block of hotel rooms for the practicum prior, arrange for housing for out-of-town trainers, speakers, Area, Regional or Corporate Leaders, practicum coordinator hostess, book representative, etc.
Registration Coordinator (RC): Oversees registration during the practicum and communicates with the registration coordinator and the hostess as needed.
Memory Work Demonstration Coordinator (MWDC): Assembles a group of Foundations students to demonstrate the memory work. Communicates details (who, what, where, when) with the hostess.
Advertising: Assists or leads advertising efforts for the practicum in the area. This may include assisting with and coordinating Information Meetings and other advertising efforts.
Supplies: This position may include purchasing, collecting, organizing, and distributing supplies as directed by the SM or hostess.
