Exerciseing is the key

One way to live a healthy life and stop obesity is to have various exercises daily. Kids spend most of their time watching TV, playing video games and are gaining weight when they could be playing sports outside. (pg.37) Obesity is very common in the U.S and is taking a “rise” here, people can change that by having thirty minutes of exercising each day. (pg.37) One of many ways you can burn calories is jump roping. You can burn 920 calories which can help you if you are trying to lose weight. (pg.39) An interesting fact about exercising is “about 75% of the calories you eat, your body burns daily.” (pg.35)

Another way to a healthy life is by eating right. Processed foods like, frozen dinners are not as healthy for you as homemade foods. “Frozen foods have high sodium.” (pg. 22) When you are eating dinner you should try to get all foods from the “food pyramid”, like grains, fruits, veggies, meat, and dairy. (pg.24) Portion sizes are required, you would want 3-5 servings of veggies,2-3 servings of dairy, 2-3 servings of meat, 2-4 servings of fruit, and 6-11 servings of grains. (pg.24)A cool fact about eating right is “high sodium can lead to high blood pressure”, and is bad for your health (pg.22)

Vitamens for you

The last way you can live a healthy life is to take vitamins. “Your body needs very small amounts or certain amounts given from your doctor.” (pg.17) You need certain amounts so that you don’t overdose and die. Vitamins can increase your speed and the amount of energy you have. (pg.17) Certain vitamins have different uses. Vitamin A is good for vision, vitamin C is used for your teeth, and your bones, and lastly vitamin E is for your red blood cells. (pg.19) A really cool fact about vitamins are vitamins are sometimes called catalysts. (pg.17)
