The kiowa tribe lived in the Great Plains.
What did they eat?
The Kiowa tribe mainly ate buffalo and birds. They also ate nuts and berries and any plant they could gather.
The kiowa tribe were hunters and gatherers. The were also nomadic people. That`s how they got their food.
What did they live in?
The Kiowa tribe lived in big hand made tepees with a outer cover made of animal skin.
Special Traditions.
A tradition in the Kiowa tribe is something called the Sun Dance. It is a form of uniting all the peoples of the tribes. There is singing , dancing and drumming at the sun dances.
Where are they now?
The remaining people of the Kiowa tribe were all put on reservations in Oklahoma. Not many are because many died from diseases.
Orginazation of leadership?
The Kiowa tribe had their own government with laws,police and services. In the past each Kiowa band was led by a chief who was usually a respected warrior chosen by a tribal council.

The women`s dresses are made of elk skin.
They talked in a language called Tanoan that was a language unique to them.
They lived in the Texas panhandle.
The Kiowa women made all their clothes as in moccasins, boots, and dresses.
