Unity Day - Wednesday October 23rd

We are asking all staff and students to wear orange on Wednesday October 23rd to show your support for Unity Day. What are your true colors when it comes to bullying? If you care about students who are bullied and want bullying to end, make your color ORANGE on Unity Day. That’s the day everyone can link together — in schools, communities and around the world — and send one large ORANGE message of support to students who have been bullied.

Annual Online Registration

Every year parents are required to complete the Annual Online Registration found in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus. This is where you update phone numbers and emails, give permission for field trips and permission to use technology. Thank you to the parents who have already done this. If you need help completing the registration or need to have your username or password updated contact Mrs. Roth at 262-970-1505. All Annual Online Registration will need to be completed by the end of October.

Vision Screen

On Monday November 11th, volunteers from the Waukesha Lion’s Club will be at Hadfield to screen students in 4K, 2nd, 4th grade and referrals for vision problems. All screeners have been certified by Prevent Blindness and the Lion’s Club Members. They will be using new equipment called Plus Optix that is able to detect possible problems within the eye. Screening takes less than 1 minute per child and is done by having the child look into a box that resembles a camera from a few feet away. Most children report that it is much like having a picture taken. You will receive information about your child’s results in the event your child failed the screening. Please call the school health room if you have any questions or concerns (262) 970-1515.

Christmas Clearing Council

The Christmas Clearing Council has been providing Christmas gifts to families in need since 1949. If you live and your child attends school in Waukesha County and you qualify for free & reduced lunch you may qualify for help from the Council. Applications are available in the office with all applications due Friday November 15th. No late applications will be accepted.
