The backpack project has been such a success that we are holding an encore supply drive to replenish our school food pantry before summer!
Please consider donating:
Binders for school
Personal care items (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste)
Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels)
Dinty Moore beef stew
Boxed meals-Hamburger Helper/Tuna Helper
Canned fruit and veggies
NO MACARONI and CHEESE!!! We have plenty!
Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, April 14th
For Parents of Kindergartners of 2016-2017 School Year:
We will offer two identical meetings for roundup. Please choose the one that best fits your schedule. Children, who are entering kindergarten in the fall of 2016, and their parents, must make arrangements to attend. During the meeting, all students will be given an assessment.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 14, 2016 ● 9:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 1:15 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Variety Show on Friday, April 15th
ISTEP Part 2
3rd Grade: April 18, 19, 20
5th Grade: April 21, 22, 25
4th Grade: April 26, 27, 28
This portion of the ISTEP test will be online and the answers will be multiple choice. Students will be practicing the format of this test next week. Please feel free to visit the link below on your own or with your child. It is the Indiana Department of Education's "Experience." The purpose of Experience is for students, educators, parents, and community members to see how test items similar to those on the ISTEP+ Part 2 assessment are presented in the online system.
Box Tops Competition is On!
Central students are once again participating in a classroom competition to see which class can collect the most box tops and will win the class prize...choosing a staff member to receive a pie in the face! Be sure to complete the form sent home with your child last week and get those box tops in! All box tops must be received by Friday, April 29th. Thanks for helping earn money for our school to benefit us with field trips and other expenses. Let the games begin!
K-Kids Book Swap
Does your child have a pile of books sitting at home that he/she has already read? Do you wish you had the opportunity to exchange them for different or more exciting reading materials? If so, the K-Kids’ Book Swap is for you!
How it works:
1. From Monday, April 4th to Thursday, April 7th students may bring in any “gently used” books to their classrooms for donation. You may bring up to 10 books. We will track the number of books brought in by each student.
2. From Monday, April 11th to Wednesday, April 13th students may come to the Book Swap and select any “gently used” books of their choice based on the number of books they turned in.
Please follow these guidelines when sending in books:
Books must be appropriate for grades K-5.
Books must be in gently used condition: cover on, no rips, tears or bent edges
Books with coloring or writing in them will not be accepted
No coloring books, activity books or sticker books
Please note that the selection of books available will be based on books donated. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Sienkowski.

You can set spending limits, request email low balance reminders, make payments and more. Sign in to Skyward and click the Food Service tab on the left.
