Spirit Week!
Spirit Week is finally here, May 10 - May 14! In addition to events being played during PE, we also have some other activities planned to make the whole week filled with fun. Each morning, there will be a sports-themed trivia question announced to the entire school. Students will have the whole school day to write down their answer and give it to their homeroom teacher. Answers to the questions will be announced the next morning. When students have PE, they will be asked to wear white or blue depending on what team they are on and for the other days of the week, they will be invited to wear sports team jerseys, township team shirts, etc. We also will have a school-wide trick shot contest, sports hat day, a week-long sports scavenger hunt, and more. Students are encouraged to wear their Spirit Week t-shirt or any blue and white WES spirit wear. Please review the TEAMS Optional family activities were emailed to parents earlier this week.

New Student Registration
If you have a new student coming to Wrightstown Elementary next year, please be sure to register your child by June 1st. If you register by this date, your child will definitely attend WES. Please let any neighbors know who may not be receiving CR information.
If you happen to register after 6/1 for a grade level that is already at maximum capacity, your child may need to attend another Council Rock School.
Council Rock School District utilizes a secure online portal for parents to enroll their child. Children must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1st for the school year you are registering. Click the link below to start the registration process for your child.
If your child is already a student at WES, there is nothing else you need to do.
Council Rock Community Aquatics Program
The Council Rock Community Aquatics Program will be reopening in June and July for private children’s swimming lessons. All classes are run Monday to Thursday and have a one to one instructor to student ratio. Registration will begin on-line on Monday, May 10.
For detailed information, please check our website at www.crsd.org/aquatics and click on summer 2021 to view the brochure and registration form.

REMINDERS!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CAR RIDER DROP OFF AND PICK UP
This email pertains to our car rider families. I am reaching out to ask for your help during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. It has recently been observed that the procedures in place are not being followed by everyone. It is necessary and important that everyone follows the expectations below to ensure a safe arrival and dismissal process for all.
When dropping children off to school in the morning, please do not let children out of the car until you reach the silver posts. Students are being dropped off where the pavement begins. Students need to be in close proximity to the building entrance before being let out of the car.
Once on the school campus it is important that cars are not speeding through the parking lots. Arrival and dismissal are the busiest time of day with many moving parts. Please drive with caution and consideration for all.
It is expected that cars remain in line when dropping off and picking-up. Please do not pull out of the car line and go around other vehicles. This is unsafe and puts others at risk.
Please do not pull out of line and cut through the parking lot. This is unsafe and puts others at risk.
Beginning this afternoon (4/27) orange cones will be set up on the inside of the car rider lane to deter cars from getting out of line to pass other vehicles.
On an average we have 60-70 car riders daily. Most days we are able to complete the dismissal process in 20 minutes. If you are using the drop-off and pick-up lines please expect this process to take some time. Your attention, cooperation, and patience in this matter is very much appreciated.
BUS SAFETY REMINDERS
The children who ride the bus have been doing well all year with their efforts to keep themselves and others safe on the way to and from school. However, I'm passing along reminders to parents to reinforce with their children a few areas that could use improvement to help maintain each child's safety.
First, masks must be worn at all times. This is outlined in the district's Health and Safety Plan, and it is a requirement if a child would like to ride the bus. Second, children should refrain from eating/drinking on the bus. Sometimes, students may be running late and want to eat breakfast on the bus. However, this creates a hazardous situation in case there was ever an issue with a child choking. In addition, eating or drinking would require a mask to be removed and students are not always six feet apart while riding the bus. Lastly, students need to remain seated at all times while the bus is in motion.
Kindly take a moment to review these safety expectations with your child. At school, we remind students that they are responsible for themselves, but they need to take care of others. Thank you in advance for helping to reinforce this message.

Friendly Reminders
- When dropping off or picking up your child (ren) at the gym entrance, please make sure that you pull all the way up to the end of the sidewalk, past the gym entrance. This can help lighten the traffic on Penns Park Road.
- It is important that cars do not block the flow of traffic when picking up at the end of the day. Please do not block buses and cars from having the ability to exit the campus.
- Masks must be worn when on-site, approaching the building. Thank you for your attention to this requirement.

FREE LUNCH FOR EVERY STUDENT IN CR EXTENDED THROUGH THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR
CRSD has communicated information to families about our free lunches for all students. It really is FREE and it is for ALL students! Through a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, CRSD will be able to provide all students in the District with lunch on school days at no cost to families. The free lunches are available to both in-school students and 100% virtual students.
In addition to the great choices available for children, each day they have the option of pizza or a fun lunch. Also, all meals come with fruit, vegetables, and milk.
A la carte items (e.g., snacks, ice cream, and certain drinks) are NOT included as part of the free meal and must be paid for the student’s lunch account. A la carte purchases will be deducted from the account after purchased.
Please contact the cafeteria manager at Wescafeteria@crsd.org if you have any questions.
If you would like your child to purchase snacks or additional menu items, you may add them to your child's lunch account using the button below. Please note, you do not need to add to this account to take advantage of the free lunch program for all students.

Family Trip Request Form
Please ensure the Family Trip Request Form is completed prior to the start of your trip. This form is located on the front of the WES website and is also provided directly below.
Chromebook Support
CHROMEBOOK SUPPORT
Students/parents should use our help desk system at the following link: https://crsdstudent.sherpadesk.com
The system will allow students/parents (student ID is required to submit a ticket) to submit a ticket for help. It will also allow them to see the status of existing tickets.
The first time they use the system, they will need to set up their account. This will require a unique email address, the location where the student attends school (this is a required field), their first and last name, a phone number where they can be reached (if additional/different contact information/preferences are desired, they can be included in the body of the request), the type of issue (called class on the form - this is also required), the student ID (this is required), a subject or brief description of the issue, and then the details about the issue.
To see the status of a ticket that was submitted, they can click on that option, log in with their email address and password (set during account creation).
We will continue to monitor the chrome support email address but will refer parents/students to the ticketing system if they have an issue or problem that needs to be resolved.
The two biggest advantages to this system are that the ticket will go directly to a technician, and the parent/student will be able to see the status of the tickets they have entered.
