Tuesday - All in Person Learners on Campus
Here is what to expect when you come to school Tuesday:
At 6:45 all students will head to their first period class. Breakfast will be available for purchase in the cafeteria but students cannot eat it in class.
The tardy bell will ring at 7:20 and that is when first period will begin.
Tuesday is a RED day so students will attend 1, 3, 5, and 7th period. The lunch period students will attend will be shared with them during 3rd period.
Students who have late arrival do not need to show up until the start of 3rd period at 8:57 am.
We are excited to have kids back in the building and ready to continue to support our remote learners.
Laptops are not Required for in-person Learning
Remote Learning Expectations
1. Steamed or video lessons and explanations
2. Office hours or tutorial sessions
3. Opportunities for support and asking questions
Teachers will offer this in a variety of ways. Attendance will still be done through engaging in Canvas or communicating with your teacher on the correct day.
Here are some ways teacher may use synchronous learning:
The Zoom-In. Teachers may live stream their class during the class period they have.
The Recorded Lesson. During the first period of the day, Teachers use a SWIVL or personal device to record the lesson. Review the lesson and upload during your conference period. Let your remote learners know that recorded lessons will be available by a specific time.
The Flipped Classroom. In this scenario teachers would record all your lessons and have students watch them at home for homework or as remote learners. You would then use class time to practice. You could do this with a live zoom option for remote learners so they could ask questions with their class.
.
The Old School. Teachers teach as they normally would for in-person learners. Remote learners have access to the Canvas page that is updated regularly with videos from the teacher or other sources. Teacher records or sources videos for Canvas page during their conference periods.
The Conference Period Live Zoom. Teachers will utilize one of their conference periods every other day to offer live instruction to remote learners.
The Small Group Instructor. Using something similar to a workshop model, the teacher will direct teach in-person learners and get them started on independent work. During in-person independent work, hold small group Zoom meetings with your remote learners.
The Live Start. Great for teachers who utilize bell ringers or warm-ups. During Warm-Up time for in person learners, Zoom with your remote learners. Zoom can be projected for whole class participation. This will allow remote learners an opportunity to ask questions or engage with the teacher regarding the days lesson.

Student COVID Screener
Our parents are valued partners in our Road Map to Reopening Plan. In addition to wearing cloth face coverings, social distancing, washing hands, and regular cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces, an essential element in helping slow the spread of COVID-19 at school is each parent’s commitment to screening their child daily for symptoms.
Parents are also asked to keep any student exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 at home and to notify the campus.
Attached is a copy of the current screening process which outlines the symptoms. Please review the information and be sure to keep your child at home if he/she is exhibiting any of the symptoms described.
Please note that all campuses are closed to visitors at this time to help stop the spread of COVID-19. If you must visit a campus, we ask that you screen yourself prior to leaving your home.
All visitors that come on a campus/facility will be required to use the Access Intercom system or call the front office from their vehicle. Once the reception area identifies the person and their need to be on campus, they will be allowed in the building. All visitors will be required to sign in using the visitor program. Each visitor will be asked the screening questions. If a “yes” response is given to one of the questions, the visitor should be asked to leave the campus immediately.
Parent/teacher conferences, ARDS, 504 meetings etc. Will be held virtually or by telephone when possible. Thank you for helping to keep our school community safe.
