Hallway and Lunch Concerns
Each wing should have a rotation schedule for lineup to lunch. It is important that everyone follow this schedule so that all students and teachers have an equal opportunity to line up first. Please follow this schedule. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Finally, please remember to stand at the corner of your entrance during passing periods so that you can see down the hallway. Teachers' presence makes a tremendous difference in student behavior.
Grades, Grades, Grades
Charting Student Progress
Student-Led Conferences
•A portfolio of their work. This can be a manila folder in which their work has been collected, or it might be their composition book/journal where they have collected their work.
•A sample "script" for students. One will be provided for you.
•Work with students to hold mock conferences during Advisory and/or Enrichment period prior to the conferences so that students have a solid idea of what is expected to happen at these conferences. More information will be provided at our Faculty Meeting on Wednesday.
High Yield Strategies - Lead4Ward app
We have shared conversation about student engagement in the classroom, and we have talked about the multiple benefits this has for students and teachers. The link above will take you to a very thorough list of instructional strategies you can explore and use in your classroom.
You administrators will be looking for implementation of these strategies as they conduct their walkthroughs. Send photos of students engaged in them to Dr. Holmgreen for a chance to win a prize!
Please check out the Lead4Ward app that was referenced in last week's newsletter. It is a great way to keep these strategies and more right at your fingertips. It's FREE!
Progress Monitoring Forms in Eduphoria
We know that you monitor progress for all students but this is REQUIRED by the district for our students in particular student groups. Please watch your email for these instructions for navigating through Eduphoria that you may wish to print for quick reference.
Attendance Update:
Thank you for your consideration and attention to this.
